I recently received a sample of the new Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer. I’d been wanting to try this foundation since I heard it was debuting. As you probably know by now, any product that multitasks is a friend of mine. This product can be purchased online and at stores that sell Clinique. It retails for $27 for 1 ounce of product. The packaging states that this foundation is for dry combination to combination oily skin. It’s available in 20 different shades, so there should be a good match for everyone.
Product information: This lightweight, moisturizing foundation and concealer provides full coverage without clogging pores. This 12-hour wear, breathable formula is ideal for very dry to combination oily skin types, its special polymer formula forms a flexible film that moves with the skin for lasting wear, and it dries slowly for easy blending. Get lasting coverage and give skin a perfected look that stays put, even through sweat and humidity.
What else you need to know:
Just one dip of the wand gives you a full-face application, and it can be used to spot-conceal, too. Due to the rich pigment level that enhances this flawless coverage makeup, shades may appear deeper when first applied. Once blended completely and allowed to dry, Beyond Perfecting Makeup will blend into your skin for a Beyond Perfected flawless look—a little goes a long way.
This product is ophthalmologist tested, allergy tested, and 100 percent fragrance free.
The picture above is from Clinique’s website. This photo shows the packaging and applicator for those that have not seen it yet. I think it’s a unique style of packaging from most other foundations with the sponge applicator wand, similar to a lip gloss.
The Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer can be applied with the fingers. You simply dot it on with the wand and then use fingers or a brush to spread and blend.
Verdict: I had a nice size foil packet of this foundation and was able to get a few uses out of it. The color that I had was Neutral. This color was pretty close to the color that matches my skin. I would prefer a slightly lighter color, but this one worked fine for review and testing purposes. I applied the product with my Beauty Blender and fingers. Only a small amount was needed. The coverage was amazing. It did feel a little bit heavy to me despite the claims that it is light weight. I could possibly have used too much. I was able to use an additional layer on areas of my face that have brown spots and discoloration. I didn’t see any evidence in the wording that there is spf in this foundation so I used a sunscreen before applying. I do like this new foundation and concealer in one and will put it on my list of future purchases. You can find more information as well as purchasing information HERE.

I am using the Clinique Pore Refining Solutions foundation that I purchased a couple of weeks ago along with their Super Primer. My skin issue is that I’m oily in the t-zone with large pores that I’ve struggled with from adolescence and on. So frustrating! The foundation is ok, but I find I get shiny after a couple of hours and then it seems to wear off and there are those pores again. I will ask Sephora for a sample of this Beyond Perfecting foundation…that might work better for me. I’m also experimenting with the Make Up Artist Choice Glycolic Acid Serum but it’s only been one week so I need to give it time to see if it helps with my pores at all. Thanks for the review Stacie. xo

I like this foundation but found that it creases in the lines under my eyes so I use a separate concealer in that area.

I just picked it up in my correct color this morning. I hope it doesn’t crease under my eyes. Did you set it with powder? Let me know. Thanks for stopping by! Stacie xo
