Do you have dry flakey skin? Do you need a great solution? I recently tried a product from A Girl’s Gotta Spa! It’s the Energizing Citrus Dead Sea Salt Body Scrub and it’s pretty amazing. I love everything about it, from the scent to the way it leaves my skin feeling. This comes in a nice 10 ounce jar that retails for $32. It can be purchased on the A Girl’s Gotta Spa website and Amazon.

If I don’t take care of my skin it gets extremely dry and flaky and appears aged. Hormones may or may not play a role in this as well. Or perhaps it’s the lack of hormones at my age… I like to take baths in the evenings year round. It’s just something I do to relax and unwind. I’ve been using Energizing Body Scrub twice a week to exfoliate and revive my dry skin. When I get out of the bath my skin feels soft and I don’t have any dry patches. In fact, my elbows are the softest they’ve ever been!
Let’s take a look at the ingredients:
Mediterranean Sea Salt, Israeli Dead Sea Salt, Oryza Sativa (Rice Bran) Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel, Moroccan Citrus Sinensis (Orange) Peel, Aurantifolia (Lime) Peel Powder, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Extract, Citrus Paradisii (Pink Grapefruit) Oil, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Citrus Sinensis (Orange) Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Beta Vulgris (Beet) Root Powder.
The ingredients in this body scrub are so interesting. Each one provides a benefit to the skin. For example, “the pure Mediterranean and Israeli Dead Sea Salt naturally purify and detox while gently exfoliating dull, dry skin. And the energizing essential oils of pink grapefruit, orange, lemon and lime will wake up your senses and revitalize you.”
Directions: Massage the scrub gently in a circular motion to polish away dull skin. Target key areas such as hands, elbows, knees, ankles, and feet. Rinse well and pat dry. For best results, use daily followed by Energizing Citrus Body Lotion. Use caution as the oils can make shower and bath surfaces slippery. Do not use on cracked, cut or irritated skin. As this is a citrus-based body care product, it may cause photosensitivity. Take care and always wear a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen.
Verdict: The first thing I noticed upon opening the jar is the beautiful fragrance of the scrub. It has a nice light citrus scent. I like to use this in the bath to allow my skin to absorb the natural oils contained in the scrub. My skin feels super soft, smooth and hydrated after using this product, just like going to a spa. I’ve only used it for the past few warm weather months but can’t wait to use it during the cool weather months when my skin gets even more dehydrated and flakey. I plan to continue to take better care of my skin year round with this easy to use, good for me product.

These products are outstanding. I love the unusual citrus smell because they aren’t too sweet. I wish she’d make a sugar scrub next.
