I recently had the opportunity to interview makeup product guru and celebrity makeup artist James Vincent. Â The first question that I asked James was to tell his best beauty tips for women over 40. Â His answer came quick and that was “moisturize.” Â He emphasized the importance of using moisturizers on the skin to achieve better makeup application. Â Regardless of skin type or season of the year using moisturizer is key.

The second tip from James Vincent is to up your skincare routine. Â You should be exfoliating regularly to remove the dead skin cells that accumulate within wrinkles. Â Exfoliation should be gentle and non-abrasive. Â Paying close attention to your everyday skincare will produce the best canvas for your makeup application.
