I recently had the opportunity to interview makeup product guru and celebrity makeup artist James Vincent. The first question that I asked James was to tell his best beauty tips for women over 40. His answer came quick and that was “moisturize.” He emphasized the importance of using moisturizers on the skin to achieve better makeup application. Regardless of skin type or season of the year using moisturizer is key.

The second tip from James Vincent is to up your skincare routine. You should be exfoliating regularly to remove the dead skin cells that accumulate within wrinkles. Exfoliation should be gentle and non-abrasive. Paying close attention to your everyday skincare will produce the best canvas for your makeup application.
