If you’re anywhere near my age then you probably remember the phrase “Avon Calling.” I just recall a time in life (a long time ago) when Avon came to the house and my mom would purchase items from her rep. I also recall when my mom would have all of the fun mini sized catalogs to browse through to choose items for her next order.
Nowadays you can actually skip the whole home visit and home party and order directly from the website and have orders shipped directly to your home. Since I adore makeup and skincare products I’ve decided to become an Avon representative to see where it can take me. I’ll still be using and purchasing all brands of makeup. After all, every line has its standouts as well as less than superior products.
I’ll be scouring Avon and Mark to try to find the best of the best from their lines. They always have great sales and specials. New campaigns start every 2 weeks so check my site often for great new products and amazing deals. They’re also about to release a new line of home products that I’m SO excited about.
Let’s start with some lip products that I’m loving so far. The first is the Ultra Color Indulgence Lip Color. This lip product is available in a dozen different shades. I purchased this in the color Rose Bouquet. It glides right on to the lips and has a nice moisturizing feeling. I’ve been enjoying it. It lasts quite a while on the lips and is not drying.
The second lip product that I am actually in love with is the mark. Lipclick Matte Full Color Lipstick. This stuff is amazing! I’ve never used a matte lipstick that was actually moisturizing. This one is a winner! I purchased the color called Siren. It’s a little louder than I’m used to. However, it’s gorgeous and I’m going to own it!! It lasted at least 6 hours without reapplying, through a meal, a snack and a Starbucks. The only downside to this lipstick is that it’s only available in three shades.

I actually really like a lot of the Avon and Mark products I’ve tried. Mark has these shimmer bricks that are ahhh-mazing! I also used some cream eyeshadows that were fantastic. I think it’s a great product line for the value!

I do remember “Avon calling”! In fact, I thought I wanted to work for Avon (corporate) when I lived in NYC and got out of grad school because they were sponsors of women’s running events. But I went into advertising instead. Avon really has upped their game big time. I love the lipstick you’re wearing in the photo. The shade is stunning! I remember those little catalogs too! My Grammy was an Avon nut, she seriously spent SO much money on Avon. Every Christmas she would send me tons of little Avon gifts. I was feeling nostalgic and I found on E Bay this Avon California perfume from the 70’s. I couldn’t believe that someone still had an unopened sealed bottle in its original box, but it reminded me of her so I bought it. That is so cool Stacie that you are now selling Avon! My sister lives in your area and I will refer her to your web site, do you deliver the items like how Avon used to be? Or do they ship it directly to your house? And btw that color looks great on you, I am the same way its hard for me to try colors that aren’t my usual cup of tea but you look great in that one! Have a beautiful day!
I like Avon products but I don’t buy them often. I purchased a Mark peachy glow cube recently and its very nice for summer. That lipstick looks so nice on you!
