September has just flown by and it’s hard to believe that it’s October already. I love the fall season, but my skin does not. It’s been quite chilly here in MN and my skin has been really dry. One of products that has been really hydrating to my skin is the Caudalie Grape Water. I give my face a good spray right before I apply primer. It gives my skin a little extra hydrating and feels quite refreshing. It’s a light mist and dries quickly. I like that it’s fragrance free.
I am loving the Beecology Original Honey Hand and Body Cream. I love any skin care that has honey in it. My husband is a beekeeper and I have done a lot of research on the benefits of honey. Honey is amazing for the body and for the skin. The Beecology hand cream is very hydrating, but soaks up quickly into the skin. You don’t need much, so a little goes a long way. I like the fact that it’s in a tube and not a jar. With my job, I am on the computer for most of the workday. I am able to use the lotion and get right back to the computer. It soaks up instantly and doesn’t leave any product on my keyboard.
I am using Retin A in the lowest dose 3 times a week. My skin does get a little flaky from the retin a. Something I have been loving to help exfoliate is the Microdermabrasion Scrub from Derma-E. It’s amazing! It’s not harsh but gentle enough to be effective. I like the fact that when you wash it off, your skin does not feel dry. I have tried many microdermabrasions and this one is at the top of my list.
I am very fair skinned and even more so now that it’s getting cooler outside. Something that I love to give my skin a little boost of color is Clarins Radiance Golden Glow Booster. I have been using this for a couple of years. I use it a couple of times a week. It’s so easy to use, just apply a couple of drops to your night time moisturizer. The next day you wake up and you have a little hint of more color.
I recently bought a new blush. It’s one that I wanted for a long time, but never purchased. It’s from Estee Lauder and it’s called Lover’s Blush. It’s gorgeous! No words necessary, do yourself a favor and pick this up for yourself. I promise you that you will not be disappointed. The color is beautiful and gives you a beautiful hint of color and radiance.
I have talked about my weight loss journey before. I am still following Corinne Crabtree program. It’s so inspiring and I love it. Her website is Phit-n-Phat. She has coaches that help you along with weekly calls. The members there are amazing and its such a great support system. But my weight loss journey these past 2 weeks has been a struggle. I am getting all my water and exercise in, but the food part of it has been hard. Anyone that has lost weight knows that sometimes you get into a rut, and that’s where I am right now. I will get out of it and I haven’t gained any weight the past two weeks, but I haven’t lost any either.
I am working on eating a low carb clean eating diet and I have had too many processed foods and sugar lately. I feel like carbs and sugar are so addicting and it’s really hard to break from from them. If you have any suggestions for me on how to break my rut that I am in, I would welcome all suggestions and advice. One thing that I am really happy and excited about, is my jeans from last fall & winter are too big! As a women that has been overweight her whole adult life, this is so thrilling! When I started my weight loss journey I was a size 26. I am now in a size 22. It’s not easy, but I know I can do it. I just need to get out of this rut I am in. I will keep you all posted in my next blog post.
