Who knew that acne was still going to be an issue in my life at 53 years old? Lucky me! Dry skin, fine lines and blemishes are issues I get to deal with. Some of the acne that I get is the regular hormonal type and some of it is the rosacea type. I was recently sent a rather large tube of a product called Anti-Blemish Facial Wash from Belli Beauty. All of their products are
- OB/GYN & Dermatologist recommended
- Allergy Tested
- Paraben-Free
- Gluten-Free
- Cruelty-Free
- Contain no artificial dyes or fragrances
- Are medically researched to avoid ingredients that may be harmful during pregnancy or nursing
The Anti-Blemish Facial Wash comes in a 6.5 ounce tube. The cost is $21.99. This product and others from the line can be purchased at Ulta.com, Buy Buy Baby, and Belliskincare. Their products are safe for use during pregnancy. And on the opposite end of the spectrum, their products are sought after during puberty and menopause when hormones tend to act up and wreak havoc on our skin.
The Belli Beauty website describes the product as follows:
Belli Anti-Blemish Facial Wash is a pure face wash that leaves skin clear and refined, without over-drying or irritation. Lactic acid (found naturally in the body) gently and effectively cleanses and exfoliates acne prone skin. Lemon peel oil is a natural anti-bacterial and skin brightener. Green tea extract and cucumber are rich in antioxidants. FREE of salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and benzoyl peroxide-common acne fighting ingredients that can result in over-drying and irritation and should be avoided during pregnancy. Anti-Blemish Facial Wash is a favorite of those struggling with blemishes, sensitive skin, or breakouts from any cause including hormonal changes – puberty, pregnancy, birth control, menopause, menstruation.
How to Use:
Use the cleanser in whatever way you prefer. You can spread the product on to skin with your fingers or with your favorite muslin cloth, facial sponge or cleansing brush. The product can also be used as a mask by spreading a thin layer over face and leaving on for 5 minutes. Rinse with water after use.
Verdict:
The first thing I do when I get a new product is the “sniff test” since I’m pretty sensitive to scents. When I first opened this cleanser I could smell a very faint fragrance from the natural ingredients. However, it was so faint that I didn’t really detect any fragrance at all after just a moment. The cleanser has been very good for my skin. It removes all makeup and daily impurities while leaving my skin feeling soft and not taut after patting drying. I like to use my vegetable sponge or a muslin cloth in the evenings to be sure I’m getting a bit of extra exfoliation. In the morning I use the cleanser and my fingers for a quick rinse. I haven’t had any breakout since I started using this cleanser (knock on wood). If you like to use products that have the more natural type of ingredients, then this one should be a hit for you. I recommend you look at their entire line because they have items for all skin types.
Have you tried any Belli Beauty skincare products yet?

No, I haven’t but I’ve heard good things about the brand. And there’s less to worry about in their ingredient lists. I would say that I don’t get blemishes especially at this stage of the game, but something I used in my nighttime routine last night where I tried out 3 new skincare products and a new beauty tool instantly gave me a blemish – the first in at least 3 years. Now which of the products did it??

Oh gosh, I feel your pain there! I often try to add one product at a time to my routine since my skin can be so darn finicky. And yes, this brand does have so many wonderful products, including a cream for your new blemish. Stacie xo
