Sunday Social

July 16, 2012

I’ve spent a lot of time on my computer this week trying to learn more about the blogging world and social media.  It is pretty overwhelming, to say the least! Please be patient as I learn the ropes to proper blogging, etc…

I recently discovered the world of “link ups” within blogging. A blog or group of blogs sponser a weekly topic for bloggers to post on their own blogs. You then post your link on the original blog. This is a way to meet other bloggers and share. It all makes sense to me! I have had fun meeting other bloggers. It is very similar to the YouTube world that I have been involved in for almost two years now.

This post is part of the Sunday Social series. I will put a link below so you can check it out and participate. Get to know me better as I answer the questions below.

Sunday Social

This week’s questions:

Best trip you’ve ever been on:
The best trip for me was a trip to Europe in 2008.  I went to London, Paris and then took a cruise around the Mediteranean with my family. We sailed on Norweigon Cruise lines for 7 days in a 4000 square foot suite. My husband figured that we might as well do it up right if we were gong to do it at all. No complaints here! We had a private balcony with hot tub and a butler. Needless to say, that was a trip that the whole family will remember forever.

Best idea for a girls weekend trip:

This one’s a toss up for me. I love places like NYC, where there is so much to do. But I also love quiet places like the beach where you can be lazy all day.

Best idea for a couples trip:

Same as above… City life is fun and exciting with so much to do. Yet quiet places like the beach can be so romantic.

Best vacation on the cheap:

I think the “staycation” is the way to go here. Find local attractions that peak your interest.

Place you most want to visit:

This is a hard one for me. I love visiting exciting exotic locations, but I hate “getting” there. As in, I hate flying! This is a fact that I am not shy about. I have to take a sedative just to get into a plane. I am working on this phobia of mine. I would love to go to a place like Bora Bora in the future.

Vacation/Travel necessities:

When I travel I must have magazines, a good book, gum, my ipad, my laptop, my cell phone, healthy snacks, not so healthy snacks, sunscreen, lipgloss, mascara and a big pretty tote bag to carry it all in.  I never travel without my running shoes.  No matter where I am, I like to get in my morning walks/runs.  This helps to be able to eat whatever I want on vacation and not have to think twice about it.

It all sounds wonderful. I love the pictures of you and the family too. I’ve never traveled much. Just states from Indiana to Florida. I’ve never been on a plane, not sure I could do it. I’d be afraid to try because I’d probably chicken out. That is one reason my answer to dream vacation is always to get to go back to St. Augustine, FL because I can get there by car! I bet I’m one of the only people you know of who has never flown.

#SchwarzkopfPartner I’ve decided to try to cover #SchwarzkopfPartner

I’ve decided to try to cover my grays at home and I’m so glad I did.

I used Schwarzkopf Keratin Permanent Root® in shade Light Brown. It gives 100% Gray Coverage in 10 minutes. I can buy their products at the drugstore and refresh my root color.

And when I’m on the go, I like to use the Keratin Temporary Root Spray for instant gray coverage.

These @hairbyschwarzkopf.usa products have been a game changer for me. Go ahead and try them. I think you’ll be hooked too!

It helps to prevent photoaging and skin cancers.

Finding the right formula makes it easy to remember to use it. This one has 15.7% zinc oxide, blends out without leaving a white cast behind, moistures and works well on its own or under my makeup.

It’s a total winner! 🏆

I’m in love with the L’Oreal Paris Panorama mascar I’m in love with the L’Oreal Paris Panorama mascara! It gives my lashes all the drama I was looking for. My eyes look lifted and more awake in an instant. #LorealParisPartner

Best part? No clumping, smudging or flaking for up to 24 hours which means I can apply it to my lashes in the morning, and they still look fabulous when I go to take it off at the end of the night.
