I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! I’m excited to be co-hosting this week’s Mom’s Monday Mingle blog hop. My weekend was pretty uneventful. I spent a lot of it driving my kids to various events they had going on. My son had an appointment with one of his golf instructors in Dallas. He’s only 16 and a fairly new driver so I drove him there. We have TONS of road construction on every single one of our highways here in the Dallas Fort Worth area. It would scare even the most experienced driver to be out there. My daughter, who is 17 had a a college visit scheduled to preview the cheer squad. The college was far enough away that the same situation arose. Therefore I was able to put lots of miles on my car driving all over the place. No complaints. That’s just how I spent a lot of my weekend. Of course there were a few nice meals eaten out. We never seem to miss those nice meals around here. And a bit of shopping was done too. After all, what’s a mom to do to waste time while she waits for her kids while they are at their appointments. Does anybody else do this? It sure can get expensive so I am thankful that these two drive themselves around town most of the time.
This weekend I’ve done some networking with others to try and grow my Give a Smile Today site. I haven’t used GFC yet but now I’m thinking I should… I have 1 sports-aged kid and I feel you on that driving thing. Not sure how far your drive was but our lacrosse is about an hour south. Ugh. Thank goodness it’s just the one kiddo!… For now… I’m hoping our twin girls will play sports, but also that they choose a sport that keeps them in town!
