This post is a tribute to my mom. As I write this post it is Tuesday evening. This is the evening that my mother passed away just 2 years ago. I will probably remember the exact minute that it happened forever. I miss her more than words can ever express. The death of a loved one makes us realize what really matters in life. My moto has always been to “take the time to smell the roses,” do what you love, and to be kind to others.

When my mom passed away I started a group that sends cards (store-bought or handmade) to those who might be suffering from cancer or another illness. It’s designed to bring a smile to the face of someone who needs it. Please go to my site and sign up to send cards. And even more importantly, sign someone up to RECEIVE cards. I have the hardest time finding people to send the cards to even though I have over 100 people ready and willing to send the cards.
So as you go through the days of your lives ahead I say to:
- Hug your loved ones
- Tell them that you care
- Live without regrets
- Take chances
- Spread kindness
- Leave a legacy
- Smile more
What would you add to my list above? I’d LOVE it if you could share this post on all of your social media sites and help me with my project. Thanks so much!!

thoughts as you go through this difficult day and time! May the memories soon become sweeter as time passes. I have lost 3 grandmas (2 were grandma in laws but still close like grandma!) and 1 one grandfather. I have not lost a parent so I cannot feel your pain. Whether the pain be fresh or old it can still tear apart the soul! Praying for you!

It is hard to believe that it has been 2 years already, my thoughts are with you today. I too have lost a parent but it helps knowing they are always there in your heart.
