Apparently I’m on a subscription kick lately. I just got my Stitch Fix subscription box in the mail and wanted to share some of the items in it. My previous post about the fashion subscription box was back when it was warm weather and I got mostly tank top types of shirts. You can read that post HERE. This time I mixed it up and got a little bit of everything for cool weather.
My daughter is my personal stylist. She’s been with the company for about a year now and is really good at picking out clothes that people like. Below is a blurb that I included in my last post about Stitch Fix that my daughter wrote for you to better understand how it all works.
“For those that don’t know about the company: This is basically like having an online personal shopper. You put in a ton of info about yourself, your body, your likes/dislikes. You can add pictures, Pinterest boards, Instagram links, LinkedIn, etc. and your stylist picks out 5 things personalized for you in each Fix! You will receive a Fix as often as you’d like, but the most common is once a month. (You could just schedule it as a one time thing or one every 3 months or so on!) There’s a $20 styling fee every time, but that $20 is applied to anything you keep AND if you keep all 5 things in your box, you get 25% off your entire purchase! When you sign up, request for me in your Fix requests to be your stylist! Use this link to sign up today! I would love to answer questions about the process or help you if you are unsure about trying it out. You literally just fill out info about yourself and a box of 5 items shows up on your doorstep… It’s a pretty amazing concept if you ask me!”
There is a card inside the box that gives suggested ways to style each of the pieces that are sent. I love this because I need all the help I can get when it comes to styling my clothes daily.
I adore the packaging of my red Audley Puffer Jacket from Save the Duck. We’ll see if I can actually get the jacket back inside the bag when the time comes. LOL! I actually requested a sporty winter jacket in my box.
I’m in love with this puffer jacket from Save the Duck. I especially love that it has a hood to protect my hair from the elements. I also love that it’s more of a fitted style. I’m actually wearing it today in the rainy 34 degree Texas winter weather. This was perfect timing for me to get this jacket. I also already have it on my packing list for my Alaskan cruise this summer. Retails for $148.
I can’t get enough in the way of puffer vests these past few winters. This navy fitted style one is so much prettier in person. It is more blue and less gray looking in person. I already know that this item will get a ton of wear from me in the coming months.
I adore this cable knit gray duster style sweater (they call the color light purple, but it sure looks gray to me). I wore it over the weekend. It was perfect for the cold weather. It kept me so warm. I actually felt like I was wearing a blanket. I just wore it over a long sleeve tee and jeans and paired it with cute booties.
I wanted to try some pants that were skinny and different from others that I already own. These olive colored Callie Cuffed Skinny Pants from Cosmic Blue Love are very trendy, yet they seem like they’ll stay in style for a long time. They retail for $88.
I requested a crossbody style person that adds a pop of color. I have several crossbody styled bags now, but they’re all black, gray or cream. This bag doesn’t disappoint. It’s quite roomy and has several separate sections inside for my things. It hangs perfectly and is the perfect size for my petite frame.
Verdict:
It was a hard call for me in deciding if I was going to keep everything in this shipment or not. I ended up sending back just one item. The olive gray pants fit me fine but they didn’t flatter my figure so I sent them back. It was so easy to do. I used the enclosed extra-large pre-addressed, pre-stamped mailer that was included in my order. All I had to do was go to the post office to drop it off. I will definitely be getting more clothes from Stitch Fix in the future.
If you’ve never had someone do your styling before I highly recommend you give Stitch Fix a try. They have clothing, shoes, jewelry and more from all price ranges. I typically get items in the mid price range. They carry nationally known brands and even have Plus size and boxes for men too. You can use this link and request Mackenzie to style you.

Even though you sent them back because they didn’t suit you when you wore them, I liked the olive pants the best. I love shopping for clothes and getting bargains, so a fashion subscription is not for me. But for women who are too busy to shop, it’s a cool idea

Haha! I have plenty of time to shop, but this is an added bonus for me. I agree though, it’s great for people who don’t have time to shop or feel kike they need help in the fashion department. Stacie xo

What great items you ended up with. I think the vest and jacket are great and both will come in handy on your Alaskan adventure.

What a fabulous subscription box! I love that you only keep what you want. And, the packaging of the red jacket is so cute, though it will be a pain to put back inside haha. You can’t have too many of those thickly knitted, comfy sweaters.
