Hi Friends and Happy Sunday to you! I hope you’re enjoying this new series that I started here on the blog. Crossing my fingers that I can keep up because I already can’t believe it’s already time for a new post. So, without further ado, here’s what I have for you today.
Random thought
I don’t know why, but I was lying in bed this morning and thinking about the day ahead. I wanted to post on Instagram and was thinking about hashtags. I often use the hashtag #midlifeinfluencer in my posts. It got me to thinking that if we’re lucky, we live to be about 90 years old. So does that mean that up to age 30 is our younger years, then 31-60 is midlife? Well then what do we call the years that happen from 60 and beyond? I’m going to be entering that phase in less than a year. Is it maybe called golden years? I need to investigate. But I do want to say that I don’t feel like I’m in that “last phase.” I feel pretty youthful still for the most part (and I’m grateful for every single day).
Hair Refresh
I desperately needed a haircut and finally got one. I actually had my hair colored to cover the grays and then had about 3-4 inches cut off. My hair is feeling so healthy now. These are some of my favorite hair products that keep my hair in it’s best condition.
Ai Technology
The ai technology that we’re seeing nowadays is feeling so futuristic. I recently shared on my Instagram the nail polishing robotic machine that I bought a few years ago in a crowdfunding Kickstarter campaign. It literally polishes my nails for me. It’s still working out the kinks and getting to know me. They tell me that with continued use, the machine gets better and better. Right now I have some issue with it overpainting and getting polish on my cuticles. It also takes a long time to complete a full manicure. Hopefully both factors will continue to improve.
Book of the week
If you read my weekly newsletters, then you know that I usually share the books I read. To be honest, I listen to book on Audible more than I actually read a physical book. You can see my list of recommendations here. This week I’m listening to Never Too Late by Danielle Steel. She one of my favorite authors. I’ve been reading her books since I was 12 years old and my mom let me read one of hers. I’ve been hooked ever since. If you want to check out an Audible membership, you can get a free trial here. I listen in my car and when I walk and it makes my days better. I recommend giving it a try if you’ve never listened to a book. It’s the best!
That’s all I have for today. Be sure to check in again next week to see what I’ve been up to.
