Happiest Sunday to all and welcome to this week’s Sunday with Stacie post. It’s been SO hot here in Texas that I’ve stayed indoors most of the week, with the exception of my morning walks. I’m really good about putting on my sunscreen first thing in the morning before I head out the door. And I’m really good about wearing a hat to protect my face from the sun. I have enough sun damage from my growing-up years that I don’t need any more. Plus, I’ve been using products to help reverse the damage and don’t want to take 2 steps forward and one step back. Do you know what I mean?
So, without further adieu, here are some of my most random thoughts that are swirling around in my head for this week’s Sunday with Stacie post…
I’ve been incorporating quality skincare products into my routine, along with a few light peels at home. This week I did a mandelic acid 22% peel. It’s a pretty mild peel that doesn’t cause much flaking of the skin, yet it makes my skin more glowy. It’s a good one to try if you’ve never done an at home peel. More info on that HERE along with my source for it (and some other high quality skincare products). Use code Stacie10 and I believe you get 10% off! Let me know if you want any other details on the products that I use.
I’ve mentioned before that I started getting dipping powder manicures maybe 6 months ago or so. I wish I’d started getting them sooner (I tried some at-home products during the pandemic) because I love the way they look. The only thing I don’t love is soaking my nails in acetone to remove them. The skin on my fingers feels so dry right now (but nothing that a little oil won’t fix). I pretty much get light or neutral colors on my nails year round because I like them to look pretty natural. And I also keep them very short. I think it’s more hygienic. But I did change one thing… the shape! I’ve gotten square nails with rounded edges for pretty much my whole life, but today I went with oval instead. I am LOVING the subtle change. What’s your favorite nail shape?
Let’s talk thrifting for a minute… Do you thrift any clothing or household items? I typically do not. I can’t say I’ve ever even tried to thrift an outfit. Maybe I will challenge myself to give it a try soon. However, there’s one item that I’ve purchased on Poshmark this last week that think counts as thrifting. It’s a pair of Lululemon cropped sweat pants. They don’t make this style right now, so the only place that I could find another pair was on Poshmark. They are still new with the tags attached and were almost $40 less than I paid at Lululemon for the same pants. Score!
That’s all for my random thoughts today. I’m headed out for a waxing appointment. Enjoy your Sunday and the week ahead!!
