I am one of those people who likes to finish what she started. I also like to keep up with goals and commitments. Unfortunately I am going through a rough time in my life right now as my mom is losing her 3 year battle with melanoma. You, my friends, have really helped me get through so many of the hard times. I was at my mom’s house this past weekend and saw the cards that my internet friends sent to mom as she underwent chemotherapy. Wow! All I could do was cry. The outpouring of compassion and support from all of you was so kind. I will personally cherish these cards, letters and small tokens forever!!

Goals from last week:
1. Back to walking this week.
I walked once the entire week. It is too hot, sticky and rainy in Florida for me. Good thing I don’t live there!

2. Work on my blog after learning so many helpful tips at Bloggy Boot Camp on Saturday.
As you can imagine, blogging has taken a back seat in my life for the moment.
3. 2-3 YouTube videos.
I have a hard time talking when I am sad. I filmed a video but looked terrible so I will attempt that one again in the near future.

4. Cook a new crock pot meal. Or should I say cook any meal. LOL!
I don’t even remember eating last week!
5. Get a few thank you cards written and mailed.
No, there was no time for thank you notes this week. I was happy that I did get a few packages and cards send to a few Chemo Angel patients before I left on my trip.
6. Schedule a flight to visit my parents in Florida.
Yes, I did go visit my parents in Florida for 4 days. Now I need to schedule another visit as time is precious and every day is a gift.
7. Network with my new blog friends.
Maybe just a little here and there. I sat around with my mom on our ipads from time to time while I was with her. It is better at times to just keep your mind busy.

Goals for this week:
My goal is to just take things day by day and see how things go.
I will have happy times and sad times. I know my mom would not want me to wallow in sorrow but would prefer for me to stay busy and sometimes even shop (that’s where I get it from).
Have a great week everyone!

Reading this made me so sad. Sorry to hear your Mom isn’t doing any better. Just try to keep your mind as occupied with positive thoughts as you can. I’m hear if you need me for anything. xo

Stacie I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom. I’ve been there & know how difficult this is. I left a comment on your latest video saying I hoped she was doing ok, unfortunately I didn’t realise the situation at that time. God bless you both. Ruth (Dianadanemania)
