Have you tried the Nudestix Lip and Cheek Pencils yet? I had seen these in a variety of blog posts several months ago and was lucky to receive one as a birthday gift from a friend of mine. Read on for my NudeStix review… This product is a chunky lip pencil that can also be used as a lip liner and on the cheeks as blush making it a multi-tasker. All of the colors are in the nude family as the name implies. These retail for $24 each for .05 ounces of product. The color that I received is Mystic. It’s a pretty one that I call a “your lips but better” type of color.
Picture above is from the NudeStix website to show colors available.
Swatched on the left and blended out on the right to show the blush effect on the cheeks. No flash.
According to the website this product “contains lip and skin moisturizing ingredients such as Shea butter and Vitamin E; as well as peptides to add youthful plumpness.”
Verdict: This product is very easy to apply since it comes in a pencil. It does have to be sharpened. However, it comes with a very convenient sharpener that you can use as the cap, making it very handy. The color that I have is the Mystic. It’s not heavy on the lips and actually feels quite nice without drying out my lips. This particular color gave full coverage with just a few swipes. The only con for me is that it doesn’t last very long. I’d say it lasted two hours at the most and even less when I was eating and drinking. I may or may not purchase another NudeStix product in the future. I love the color and the smooth and creamy texture, however for $24 I’d like it to last longer on my lips.
