If you like to polish your nails or have them polished for you, then I have a nail polish recommendation that you MUST know about. For the past 6 months or so I’ve been using gel polish from the brand called Nail Addict. I think my nails look beautiful when they are polished. However, the best part is that they stay looking gorgeous until the next manicure. Today I’m going to introduce you to the Nail Addict brand so you can see for yourself why I’m so in love with everything about their line of nail polish.
First off, Nail Addict polish is a gel polish formula. Gel nail polishes are formulated to harden when exposed to different sources and types of light. The UV light is the mostly invisible form of light that is present in sunlight, tanning lamps, and nail-polish lamps. The LED light is a light source that is visible. A LED lamp will speed up the curing process and usually takes 30 seconds to harden polish, while an UV lamp will take up to 2 minutes to cure your nails. I personally NEVER use UV light and don’t recommend that you use one either. Exposure to UV light has been known to cause skin cancer and I’m actually not really sure why anyone would use one nowadays.
NAIL Addict gel polish is the healthiest, long-lasting formula in the market. All of their gel polish has been recently improved to remove 9 high toxic chemicals from it. All their gel polishes are made without nine of the sketchiest ingredients linked to toxicity. So safer for your nails… and for YOU! That means they’re free of formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, formaldehyde resin, camphor, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, parabens, and acetone too. All of their products are created with love and passion at their HQ in Los Angeles, California.
Nail Addict has some gorgeous shades of polish to cover any occasion and all color preferences. They say that only one coat is required, however I think two coats always looks better. They offer both a base coat and 2 top coat options to be used with their nail polish. For removal of the Nail Addict polish they recommend the usual acetone, cotton ball and foil method. I found some great remover on Amazon that is much easier. You coat the nails and the polish bubble up and is pushed off with a tool. Everyone has their own preferences, but I don’t like taking the extra time for removal.
The nail polish is divided into several categories on the website. They have creams (my favorite), glitters and shimmers and neons. Check out some of my favorites throughout this post. If you want to learn more or give this polish a try, visit their website. If you use my code STACIEH2 you’ll get 55% off of your order (it can be applied for a minimum of 2 gel polishes and please be advised that it will not work when they have automatic sales on the website).
I also want to mention that I’ve purchased this polish for my nail technician. She’s used it on several of her clients who have severe allergies and sensitivities to chemicals in products. I’m happy to report that her clients are doing well with these products too and have had NO adverse reactions.
