My Florida Visit

I’m currently on an airplane on my way back from my Florida visit.  I went to see my dad for a few days since I hadn’t been to see him in a while  He lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida while I live in Dallas, Texas.  Life gets so busy that I don’t usually realize how long it’s been between visits.  My dad has been in poor health for the past few years.  He was in and out of the hospital and a rehab facility since the end of July.  A few days ago they moved him to an assisted living facility because he’s currently not mobile.  I came down to check the place out and visit with him.  Unfortunately I didn’t get to visit with him as much as I would’ve liked.  You see, he goes to dialysis three days a week for 4-5 hours at a time.  I planned the trip around that schedule.  However, they changed his schedule on us.  I’m happy that I made the trip though since time is precious these days.  Go hug a loved one while you still can!!
