If you feel like you don’t have time to put extra effort into your beauty regimen, you’re not alone. Sometimes it’s easiest to choose the quickest methods, especially when traveling, attending business meetings or if you’re just plain busy. You may be surprised that a ton of cosmetic products serve many purposes, making it easier for you to pare down your collection and save time. I feel like I’m always busy, in my personal life and my work life, so I’m always searching for methods to simplify my beauty regimen WITHOUT compromising quality. This is why I like multitasking beauty products because they can save time, money, and space in our beauty routines.
I’ve rounded up some of my favorite multitasking beauty products to show you that will make your routine more effective with fewer products – from cream-to-powder sticks to miracle oils and hair straighteners.
Multitasking Products for Your Skin
Let’s start with skincare! I prefer moisturizers that provide sun protection since I have dry, sometimes sensitive skin. Moisturizers that provide simultaneous hydration and UV protection are my favorite go-to products because they offer coverage while nourishing and protecting the skin. Tinted moisturizers and cc creams are my go-to products. As a matter of fact, this is one of my favorite corners to cut because there are so many great products out there.
Some of my current, longtime favorites are It Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation and bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer that act as both sunscreen and foundation with the right amount of coverage.
I’m also loving the Beia spray. I use it as a toner since it contains aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, and green tea which are known to moisturize and calm the skin. I also use it as a setting spray, giving my makeup a radiant look and ensuring it stays on during the steamy summer days. Win-win situation!
Johnson’s Baby Shampoo is actually something else that I always have on hand. Hear me out on this one… It’s helpful for a lot more than simply bathing a baby’s hair. Because of its silky composition, it glides over skin and provides the “slip” necessary for a flawless shave so it can also function as a shaving cream. This shampoo also works magic to remove all the product buildup in your makeup brushes. So be sure to grab some next time you’re at the grocery store or drugstore.
Multitasking Products for Everyday Looks
Multitasking makeup items have really changed the game. One of my favorite things to do is use a is a tinted lip balm that may also be applied to the cheeks for a delicate flush of color. Or use a cream blush on the cheeks, lips and eyes. Creamy products are great multitaskers, especially if you use your imagination.
The same goes for bronzer and highlighter. Whether you choose powder formulas or a cream ones, they can be used multiple ways. Use a bronzer on your face and eyes to add some dimension and the perfect glow. Use a highlighter on the face, brow bone, cupids bow and more to highlight areas of the face and add brightness.
Eyeshadow can be used on the eyes, face and brows, depending on the shade. You can get creative if you want to downsize your beauty product stash, especially when traveling.
Multitasking Products for Your Hair
Now, let’s talk about a few multipurpose hair care products. Many of us use dry shampoo often, but have you ever tried one that adds volume? Some hair conditioners may serve as both a heat protector and a time saver, preventing damage to your hair.
Elizabeth Arden Miracle Oil is incredible as a multitasker because you can use it on your hair, skin and body. You’ll get a lot of benefits out of this wonder product. You can use it to shine dull, dry hair or hydrate your skin after shaving.
Flat irons are another great option. Besides making smooth strands, a flat iron can do a lot more. This clever tool lets you get precisely coiled flat iron curls, bouncy beach waves or clean, straight hair. If you’re in a pinch, you can even get wrinkles out of your clothes with a flat iron!
My Takeaway
These products are ideal for minimalist makeup and beauty fans as well as light travelers who love touch-ups on the go. They are not only practical and efficient, but they also provide many opportunities for innovation and experimentation. For busy people like myself, multitasking beauty products are a game-changer. You can save time without compromising quality by adopting these beauty products into your routine! Do you have any multitasking must-haves?
