Are you a fan of matte lips products? I feel like maybe I “should” like them because so many ladies love them, so every time I see a new product released I make a mad dash to the store. I run even quicker when it’s a limited edition product at the drugstore. You know how drugstores are, limited supplies of limited edition products. I was visiting my local Walgreen’s a few days ago and was actually quite surprised to see an almost full display of the new Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme. This was a surprise to me because my Walgreen’s doesn’t even carry Milani products. These are exclusive to Walgreen’s and the Milani website and retail for $6.99 each.

I chose to purchase the color called Lust. This is my favorite type of pink for lip products because of its blue undertone. You can see from my swatch above that the Matte Lip Creme definitely dries down to a super matte finish.
Verdict: If you’re looking for a matte lip product, this is a good one. The staying power in incredible. I actually woke up after wearing this for about 16 hours and it was still on my lips. I had to use makeup remover and a lot of muscle to get it off. It withstood eating, drinking and sleeping. The Milani Matte Lip Creme is available in a nice assortment of 8 different colors. Since these are limited edition, you may want to go get yours now. I personally think that matte lipstick doesn’t look great on me (a more mature woman) because they look very dry . Glossy, satin and lustre products are my preference instead because they shine a little and don’t make lips look shriveled and aged. If I wear matte lip products I almost always like to top them with a gloss. Let me know if you’ve tried these yet.

I am a total matte lipstick fan, so I am DYING to find these Milani lip cremes at my local Walgreens. No luck so far 🙁 But I’m gunna keep trying! Great to hear they’re worth the purchase. That color you swatched is SO beautiful!! Love me some mattes!!
