If you’re one to keep up with the latest trends then you’ll want to check out MAC Cosmetics newest collection called Metallic Lips. This is a Limited Edition collection of 18 multi-dimensional pearl, high intensity metal finish lipsticks. They’re available in a full spectrum of copper, bronze and titanium infused shades. Each lipstick retails for $17. They’re available on the MAC website and other retailers such as Macy’s and Nordstom from March 30th – May 11, 2017.
“Lips, gilded for the gods, in new Metallic Lipstick, where rich colour melds with smooth pearlized chrome. The luxurious formula is available in a full spectrum of copper, bronze and titanium colour-infused shades. Vibrant, intense, on-trend.”
The shades in this collection range from pale and sheer to more pigmented ones in deep purple and green.
Above are a few swatches of the shades available from the Metallic Lipstick Collection.
Verdict:
This collection reminds me of the Dazzle lipsticks from MAC Cosmetics. I wasn’t a fan of those because of all of the glitter in them. The glitter remains behind when the lipstick wears off and I’m left with glitter fallout on my face. There are several colors in this collection that I like as toppers over other lipsticks when they need a little jazzing up. However, I just need to remind myself of the glitter left behind and expect it to be present. Unfortunately, this isn’t my favorite release from MAC.

Sorry to hear that these leave behind a lot of glitter. That said, Pale Rose Metallic Lipstick is so pretty that I might need to pick it up anyway!

Yes, it’s a bummer that we’re not liking these. But apparently lots of ladies do because many of the shades are sold out already! Stacie xo

The darker shades are way too adventurous for me, but pale rose is SO pretty!

These are pretty but I am not that adventurous w/ glitter lippies

I think the nudey, or more natural shades have some appeal, but I wouldn’t pay MAC prices for the more novelty shades. I just wouldn’t wear them enough.

I’m not a fan of gritty feeling glitter, but Pale Rose and the Berry shade look really pretty.

Yes metallic lipstick looks absolutely stunning but I think it only work if we perfectly match the shade with our skin tone.

I wasn’t a huge fan of these particular metallics because of the glitter in them, but have liked other types for sure. Thanks for stopping by! Stacie xo
