I’m super excited to introduce all of you to a new group of amazing women that I recently joined. The group is called Fashion Flash, an influencer/blogger group for women over 40. Each month they do the Beauty and a Book Giveaway. Each giveaway pairs a book with a beauty product. If this sounds like something that interests you, then keep reading.
The theme for this month is Holiday Miracles and I am proud to be hosting the giveaway here on The Makeup Obsessed Mom Blog. The book, “A Must for Christmas” by Deborah Garland is part of a promising new romance series. The beauty part is the L.O.V. matte and metallic eyeshadow palette and a Revele’ Velvet Oval blush and contour brush.
About the book:
“Faith Mallory finally has it all. She married her childhood sweetheart, the only man she ever loved and in a month she and Greg will be blessed with two sons to carry on the Mallory family name. Life was supposed to be perfect. Except, it isn’t. Faith is keeping secrets, some that will threaten their happy-ever-after.
Greg envisioned a married lifestyle for his family that includes Faith giving up her career and all she’s worked hard to achieve. Her long, stressful hours makes Greg fear she’s put her health as well as his sons’ wellbeing at risk. With tensions running high, the strain on Faith cause early labor and complications.
Fear holds Greg in its grip as he waits for word from the doctors. Now everything is at risk. A potential medical disaster and revealed secrets will jeopardize his and Faith’s relationship.
They will need a Christmas miracle for their little family to survive the holiday season.”
I’m excited to be bringing this book on my vacation to read on the beach. It looks like a nice quick read that I’ll be able to finish in just a few days. Let me know if you’ve read this book or any others from Deborah Garland.

I like both types, because you usually need both. But if I had to choose it would be metallics because they’re so pretty.

The face brush is seriously wonderful. I have one, and though it is inexpensive, it works so well! And the palette looks so pretty. Good luck to those who entered!

I love brushes shaped like that. They are so soft and the finish they produce is beautiful. And of course I love the palette since I’m all about eyes. Another great Fashion Flash giveaway.

I’m a makeup lover so I enjoy working with both matte and metallic shawdows preferably together. I’ll lay down some mattes in the crease of my eyelids as a transition and then layer a beautiful sparkly metallic on top, sometimes in the form of a halo cut crease style.
