Are you looking for a new foundation for the summer? I recently received a new foundation to try. It’s the Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Weightless Foundation. It’s so hot here in Texas that the word weightless is very appealing to me. The foundation retails for $46 at Nordstrom and is available in 27 very inclusive shades. There should be a good match for everyone. It’s represented as a foundation for normal to oily skin types (more on that later).
This foundation is described as a “16-hour wear, full-coverage foundation with a natural, multidimensional matte finish that’s comfortable, breathable and weightless. Created through a high-speed cold fusion process, this ultrafine, silky emulsion features a potent combination of wear-extending ingredients, oil-control actives and true-to-skin pigments.” The formula is waterproof and sweat-and-humidity resistant.
I have the Primer Plus Mattifier and sometimes use it under the foundation, but not always. The Primer Plus Mattifier works well under the foundation to blur the appearance of my pores and fine lines. It’s very lightweight and feels good as it plumps and hydrates the skin. The product “extends the quality of your foundation’s wear while controlling oil, blurring pores and helping to keep skin’s moisture level balance. Skin is left matte, never flat. Special powder technology absorbs oil and reduces the appearance of pores while sodium hyaluronate helps keep skin’s moisture level balanced.”
Verdict:
I love this foundation. It blends right into my skin with either a beauty blender sponge or a kabuki brush. It gives my skin a nice natural look and doesn’t look cakey. I love the way the foundation evens out my skin. It’s perfect for wearing in the hot Texas heat. The best part is that it still looks good at the end of the day after I’ve been sweating outside and freezing in the air conditioning. One note here is that the foundation is formulated for normal to oily skin. However, I have combination/dry skin and this works great for me. The only thing I think I’d like to change about this formula would be to increase the SPF to be higher than 15.

I like the consistency of shades from one of their foundations to the next. I use the Serum foundation from BB and find it works so well for me.
