Are you addicted to beauty subscription boxes like I am? I don’t know what it is about receiving a box filled with beauty products that makes me so happy, but it does! I decided to try the BeautyFix by Dermstore Box for the first time. This box is put together by Dermstore, a website that sells beauty products and professional grade skincare. I’ve shopped the site for some of my favorite skincare products for years, however this is the first time I decided to sign up for their BeautyFix box.
Like all other beauty subscription boxes, they have a monthly theme for the contents. For the May, 2018 box the theme is Date Night. Everything in the box is curated to help you primp for a big night out.
I personally love the Date Night theme! There were 11 items in this particular box. That is more than their average month. However, most of these are small travel size rather than full size. With that being said, these samples are mostly amazing higher end brand products.
Let’s take a look at what’s in the May BeautyFix by Dermstore Box:
Fillerina Dermo-Cosmetic Filler Treatment Grade 2 – This is a hyaluronic topical filler that’s meant to plump up the skin by adding hydration. The product comes in a syringe. You don’t actually inject the product. It’s just fun packaging. I’ve used this a few times so far. I don’t notice a difference, but have only used it for the deeper lines that I have with wishful thinking going through my mind. I will continue to use this until it runs out.
SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense – This brand had an amazing reputation. I’ve used a few items from the brand in the past and can’t wait to start using this one that is the newest from SkinCeuticals. This is a skin-brightening serum that’s proven to prevent and diminish the look of brown spots. I could sure use this in my lineup!
Neuma Neumoisture Instant Fix – This is a product for the hair. It’s a detangler, taming and hydrating heat protectant. It’s on my vanity to use this afternoon when I get ready for a wedding that I’m attending.
Dermablend Loose Setting Powder – This is a top-selling makeup setting powder. It’s supposed to provide 16 hours of fade proof makeup. We’ll see how it works in the Texas heat.
VMV Hypoallergenics Superskin Hydra Balance Smart Moisturizer for Combination Skin – This one feels great on my skin. This moisturizer has SPF 15 and provides hydration with coconut oil.
Dr Brandt Pores No More Luminizer Primer – This is the only full size product in the box. This primer blurs imperfections with its light reflecting ingredients. I haven’t tried it yet, but intend to review it when I do.
Peter Thomas Roth Mega-Rich Body Cleanser – I love the brand so I was excited to get this body cleanser since I’d only used facial products from the line. This is a nourishing, revitalizing body wash that anyone would love.
Replenix Plumping Lip Treatment – Anything that promises to plump my lip wrinkles and keep dryness at bay gets my vote! I’m thrilled to give this one a try.
Murad Multi-Vitamin Infusion Oil – This oil has six potent vitamins to help hydrate, brighten and protect the skin.
Tocca Beauty Giulietta Eau De Parfum – This is a fruity floral fragrance. I like perfume, but to be honest I’m disappointed when beauty subscriptions include these tiny samples because I have more of them than I know what to do with.
Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream – I’m a huge fan of cc creams and can’t wait to give this a try. It offers minimal coverage, antioxidants for the skin and sun protection. They sent me the Desert Glow shade which I think will be the perfect shade for my skin.
The BeautyFix Box is $34.95 if you make a one time purchase. If you sign up as a subscription and use the auto renew each month it is only $24.95. Shipping is FREE and you can cancel the box at any time. One of the things that I like is that they show the contents of the box on their website and you can decide after seeing them if you want to purchase the box. My only warning is that they do sell out each month because their boxes are so good.
These BeautyFix boxes have a retail value of at least $100. They have at least 6 products in them of both full and deluxe travel size. One if the things that I don’t like about this box is that the paper that comes with the box doesn’t give a retail dollar value. I’m just nosy like that.
Let me know what you think of the BeautyFix by Dermstore box. Is this something that interests you? Do you already subscribe? I’d love to know!

I subscribed to this for about 6 months but I didn’t need all the hair items they were sending then. When I signed up it talked about cosmetics so I expected to find that in the box and that was disappointing. There are some nice products in here but I think there should be less samples.

I agree, I wasn’t too happy with so many samples. I’ve seen much better boxes from Dermstore in recent months so I’ll give this a few more tries before I quit. Stacie xo

Not a bad box, but definitely a lot of samples. I have been wanting to try the Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream!

Yes, this one had more samples than I typically care for. However, at least they’re good ones! Stacie xo

I like beauty sub boxes too, but I have enough skincare to last until I’m 120!
