l agree it is expensive. i heard thoigh it can burn your head if you get too close.
It doesn’t burn your head, the outside of does not get hot. You can start your curl where ever you like but if you want it to start at the root you can put the Miracurl right up against your scalp & it won’t burn you – I’ve done it.
Thank you for this review. I’m planning on getting one soon.
Where did you buy it? 🙂
I purchased mine at my hair salon.
I saw the price of this and the price of the Conair Curl Secret. They seem to be the same product however the Babyliss allows you to change how long you curl the hair for. I think that’s really the only difference. Not sure that it’s worth a $150 USD for basically the same product. The Conair is $99.00 USD plus tax in Walmart. The Conair one is a great dupe for the Babyliss! Thank you for the review! I was curious to see how different it was from the Conair. M.J.
When I purchased mine it was the only one available and I just had to have it. I still love it, however I’m sure the more affordable dupes that are out there now work just as well. Thanks for commenting! Stacie xo
Babyliss owns Conair. Babyliss Pro is the professional version of hair styling tools and Conair is for the general retail market. The Babyliss Pro Miracurl has a feature that alternates the direction of the curls whereas the Conair Curl Secret does not do that. I believe there are some other differences.
I read that if your hair is longer than shoulder length it won’t curl the whole strand….is this true!??
I have very long hair (middle of my back) and it works great! You just have to curl very small sections.
Not true at all. My hair is about 8 inches longer than that and it holds great. I still love this curler after several months of use. Stacie xo
That’s cool. My daughter’s friend did her hair with the Conair version of this & it looked gorgeous.
Looks good! I have naturally curly hair, so, I guess I am lucky I don’t need to purchase anything to curl mine -BUT, I did want to see how it did, and it looks great! Glad you like the product!
Hmm. I’m obsessed with curling my hair when I do a show, but have never seen this gizmo (nor the Conair one). I’ll have to investigate, looks like it would be a fast thing to have backstage? Happy SITS day!
That thing is awesome!!!! Love your video review – what an awesome warranty, too!
My daughter has long hair(a little beyond her waist). Will she be able to get the desired results??
My hair is down to the middle of my back now. It works great, but you have to do very small sections at a time.
My hairdresser uses this on my hair when I go for my cut and colours. I absolutely love it but I do find it a bit pricey and have not purchased it as of yet. I think it will go on my gift list for my bd.
Yes, this is crazy expensive. It’s a great curling system, but probably not a must have. I do know that other companies have come out with similar ones for less money but I haven’t tried any of them yet. Thanks for stopping by! Stacie xo
