It’s time for my Optimistic Monday post. I am trying to get back to setting my goals each and letting y’all know how I do at accomplishing them. I’d love to do this post as a weekly link up some time in the future. Let me know if you’d be interested in participating. You don’t have to set many goals each week. Start small. I think it helps to keep me accountable by writing my goals down.
Goals for last week:
1. Walk 3 times.
Yes, I made it a point to get out there and get my head cleared a little bit on my walks. I am a “thinker” and this time is great for “thinking.” I had 3 shorter walks this week. I am glad to have gotten back in the swing of things.
10/22/12 3.19 miles, 10/23/12 3.10 miles, 10/25/12 2.51 miles
It’s so peaceful walking the trails by the lake |
2. Write some thank you cards.
I actually wrote a few, but need to get my act together as far as thank you cards go.
3. Clean out my closet (or at least part of it)
I started this ginormous task. I went through most of my pants. This is what led me to try them all on and realize that they are mostly all too big since I have lost some weight. This led me to go shopping for new pants. Such a vicious cycle. LOL!
4. Cook dinner on 2 nights. Preferably something new and at least a little bit exciting.
I did cook several nights this week. Nothing really new though. It’s so hard to cook at our house since my husband travels and my son is on a crazy teenage boy athlete low carb diet. I did make some desserts this week. I posted a few that I wanted to try from Pinterest. I was able to make the Peanut Butter Chip Banana Bread. It was pretty wonderful! I think next time I will just make it as mini muffins instead. It was very rich for me so I would only need a little bit at a time. The picture below is my actual finished product.
5. Film at least 2 YouTube videos and write at least 4 blog posts.
I filmed 2 videos, but only uploaded one. I will be uploading a few this week. However, I have been pretty good at posting at least 4 blog posts per week.
Goals for this week:
1. Walk 3-4 times at least 3 miles each
2. Film at least 3 Youtube videos, including a few reviews
3. 4-5 Blog posts, including a few beauty product reviews
4. Make 2 of the amazing oatmeal recipes I saved from Pinterest last week
(I’m kind of craving the cookies and oatmeal breakfast muffins)
5. Continue the daunting task of cleaning out my closet…
