Okay, it’s finally officially the winter season. That means different things to all of us. I live in north Texas, and we never know from one day to the next what the temperature is going to be. If the winds are coming in from the south, it could be in the 70’s. If the wind is coming from the north, then it might be in the 30’s. It can literally change from day to day. This week is predicted to be unseasonably warm for us. But if you live in a cooler climate, I have a few outfit ideas for the cold season for you to check out in today’s post.
My daily style is rather casual. Since I don’t work in an office environment, I can really wear anything I want. There are no rules. I often just wear my athletic clothes from morning until night. But most days I prefer to wear a nice pair of jeans with a sweater. I also like to wear layers because I can always add or take away a layer as the day goes on. If this sounds like your style too, then keep reading…
The best news too is that everything in this post is currently on sale at great prices. It seems to me that stores go through more styles in a season than they used to. This is good news for us consumers because we’re almost always getting our purchases on sale.
I love a good thick sweater for cold days. This one is bright and cheerful and a nice change from neutral colors.

I adore a nice vest to complement an outfit and add an extra layer. This one has been worn on repeat because it’s not too thick and has a more feminine look to me with the option to make the waistline more fitted.

Another fun and bright colored sweater to add some cheerfulness to the cold and dreary weather. The fair isle design is a classic that everyone seems to love.

I adore cardigans for so many reasons. This one from Quince has a slightly cropped and boxy fit. It comes in several color options and can be worn buttoned or unbuttoned for a nice change.

Do you ever wear your button down shirt as a lightweight jacket? That’s exactly what I did to add an extra layer of warmth while attending a recent conference. You never know when you’ll be seated right under the air conditioning vent and I was the winner on this particular day. I also like to wear blue and black together.
