I feel really lucky to live in a big metroplex.  There’s always something going on, especially on the weekends.  This past weekend I had the chance to attend the Pinners Conference and Expo in Arlington, Texas.  I paid $99 to attend as a VIP Pinner.  This meant that I was invited to the VIP party on Thursday night, received a big bag filled with products from vendors and attended a nice reception.  I was also able to sign up early for classes and didn’t have to wait in lines for classes either.  It was a nice little perk.

The Pinners Conference had two rooms filled with vendors selling their wares.  These were pretty much things that you see on Pinterest boards and wish you knew how to make them yourself.  Many booths also offered instructions on how to make projects.  In addition, there were classes going on all day Friday and Saturday.  I picked four different classes that were perfect for me and my interests.

My first class was with Becki from Whippy Cake.  She taught Easy Hairstyles in Less Than 15 Minutes.  She went over a slew of products that she likes to use and demonstrated curling techniques with the flat iron.  She is so much fun and so entertaining.  You should definitely go follow her blog Whippy Cake.  She also has a Youtube channel that you can connect to through her blog.

The next class I attended was Beauty 101 taught by Corinna from Corinna B’s World.  She went over so many wonderful topics.  I really enjoyed listening to her talk about how beauty begins with confidence and how you project yourself.  Corinna is a trained makeup artist who is currently the Beauty Director for Luca Magazine, which is designed for 16-22 year olds.  The magazine is all about beauty, fashion, fitness and more.

My next class was called Say No to Auto on Your Fancy Camera taught by Joy from Capturing Joy.  Joy is a professional photographer and also a blogger.  She shared the basics on composing good photos.  By the way, my blog photos for this post were done on my iphone, not my fancy camera.  LOL!  Joy has a wonderful blog where she has many many posts about photography tips.  Go check that out HERE.

happy planner

My last class of the day was taught by Stephanie who created the Happy Planner.  We paid just $20 each and received an AMAZING bundle of planner supplies to get started with a new Happy Planner.  Planning just so happens to be one of my current obsessions, so I was so excited to be in this class.

This picture contains mostly the products that we each received in the Happy Planner class along with a few other goodies that I picked up from some of the booths at the show.

The conference had a second day filled with classes as well.  I actually decided to skip the second day because I had so many other things that I needed to do on Saturday.  I am so happy that I was able to attend the Pinners Conference and Expo.  It was so much fun.  I sure hope they decide to come back to Texas again next year.  You can check out the Pinners website to see if they have a stop in your town.

Would this be a good venue for a vendor in your opinion. Booth fees are expensive and I just want to be sure people are buying 😉

It was fabulous! If you have products that people love then you will sell a lot. People were definitely shopping at the Dallas location conference. Good Luck! Stacie xo

    I’m going this year…woot!

Was there anything you took that you were so glad you had brought?

Was there anything you wish you had brought, but didn’t?

I’ve bought all the kits for my classes…is there anything not in the kits I should bring?

    Thanks!
